LANDLORD ANNOUNCEMENTS

RENT Increases:

The Housing Authority of the County of Kern is no longer facing a financial shortfall due to insufficient HUD funding for 2024-2025.  We are happy to announce that landlords may continue to submit requests for rent increases.  Please keep in mind, requests will only be accepted for units with recertifications coming due.  Landlords will receive a letter 120 days in advance of the recertification deadline.  Requests submitted after the stated deadline will be denied, as well as any requests for retroactive rent increases.  Rent increases are limited based on the guidance in California AB 1482.
