The Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP)

The Neighborhood Stabilization Program provides single family homes, duplexes, and condominiums as affordable rentals for households earning up to 50% of AMI. The properties were acquired in 2009 & 2010 and are located throughout Bakersfield.

To Qualify:

1) Income must be at or below 50% of the Area Median Income based on family size.

2) Credit and background checks including criminal and landlord references will be done on any family member over the age of 18.

3) The family must have at least 2 persons in the household and the following occupancy standard must be followed:

2-4 Persons – 2 Bedroom
4-6 Persons – 3 Bedroom
6-10 Persons – 4 Bedroom
