Advertise Your Units in the Section 8 Program Listings

As of July 1, 2025, a pre-qualification process has been implemented for landlord participation in the Section 8 program. Landlords may list their rental units with the Housing Authority by completing the below form, submitting proof of ownership and ensuring the rental units are located within Kern County. Listings are updated every Tuesday and newly listed units are advertised for 60 days. Landlords may remove units that are no longer available by calling (661) 631-8500 ext. 1001.

Verification: If you are a landlord participating in the Housing Authority of Kern County’s Section 8 Program, please submit proof of ownership which can either be a copy of the recorded deed, recent mortgage statement or recent property tax bill. We will not publish the listing until we can confirm proof of ownership.
