Violence Against Women Act (VAWA)

The Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) protects individuals from being denied housing or assistance because of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, or stalking. VAWA protections are available to all individuals, regardless of sex, gender identity, or sexual orientation. This program ensures that survivors of violence are not discriminated against in housing situations.
