Low Income Public Housing (LIPH) Waiting List Transitioned to RAD Site-based Waiting Lists
The Housing Authority of the County of Kern’s Low Income Public Housing program waitlist transitioned to the RAD program waiting lists. Applications did not lose their position and they retain the same date and time from the original LIPH application.
Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) Waiting List
Applicants in the Section 8 program are randomly selected from the waiting list and therefore we are unable to determine how long you will have to wait for housing assistance. Applicants will be contacted by email when their application reaches near the top of the waiting list.
Update Your Information
If there is a change in the size of your family or an address change while the application is on the waiting list, you can update your contact information on your Section 8 and/or Low Income Public Housing application by clicking on the button below, and using your credentials to log-in.
