Under contract with the California Department of Housing and Community Development, the Agency operates a total of 172 seasonal farm labor units. These units are located at two (2) Labor Centers: one in Arvin and one in Shafter. The Centers are open for approximately six (6) months each year, from April to October. Residents must be seasonal farm laborers whose permanent residence is at least 50 miles away from the Center.

The historic Sunset Camp (also know as Weedpatch Camp and Arvin Farm Labor Supply Center) serves migrants from May – October only. The Migrant Center Office and staff do not have access to the historic site. The historical buildings are located at the northeast corner of the Camp in a fenced area. Pictures can be taken of the exterior of the camp. For additional information on the Sunset Camp please visit the Camp’s website at: www.dustbowlcamp.org.
